Jamea masjid is a mosque in Preston used exclusively for the five times daily prayers, Quranic recitals, lectures, Friday and Eid prayers. It is also used to teach children the basic knowledge in Islam. The mosque has a rich history dating back to the time when the Indian Muslims first arrived in the UK to work in the textile industry.
